Moving at the Speed of Trust
Most people think patience is a personality trait. Either you have it, or you don't. But what if patience isn't about temperament at all? What if it's about trust? That's the question that changes everything.
Why Waiting Feels Like Losing
When things move slower than expected, your brain starts looking for a problem to solve.
You get anxious. You get quiet. You start forcing things into motion just to feel like you're doing something.
That feeling is not a sign that something is wrong. It's a sign that your feelings have gotten louder than your faith.
Here's what to do when that happens:
Name what you're actually feeling. Anxiety, fear, and frustration need to be identified before they can be managed.
Ask yourself one question: Is this a delay or is this a development? The answer changes your posture completely.
Resist the urge to manufacture momentum. Not every slow season is a stuck season.
How Couples Process Timing Differently

In a relationship, two people rarely experience a waiting season the same way.
One partner may go quiet and internalize the pressure. The other may verbalize anxiety and push for movement.
Both responses are valid. Both can create distance if left unaddressed.
Here's how to stay unified when you're not processing at the same pace:
Talk about what the wait feels like, not just what you're waiting for.
Give your partner permission to process differently without making it a conflict.
Make decisions from a place of shared peace, not individual pressure.
Unity is not agreement on timing. It's agreement on trust.
Faith Over Feelings Is a Daily Practice
Proverbs 3:5-6 is easy to quote and hard to live.
Leaning not on your own understanding means making peace with information you don't have yet. It means trusting the process even when the process doesn't make sense.
Here's how to practice that practically:
Anchor yourself to what you know, not what you feel. What has God already confirmed? Start there.
Audit your inputs. What you consume daily shapes how you interpret your season.
Celebrate small movement. Progress is not always visible. That does not mean it's not happening
The One Thing to Remember
You are not behind.
You are being built.
The season you're in is not wasted. It is working. The question is whether you will trust the process long enough to see what it produces.
Move at the speed of trust.
